Revealed: 2011 Nissan Juke

Nissan's newest offering, the 2011 Juke, blurs all the lines that try to define it. The Juke is a crossover with sports car overtones trying to compete in both the B segment and subcompact categories.  Regardless of which category the 2011 Juke fits in, it is an impressive car.

Under the hood, the Juke has a 1.6 liter direct-injection, gasoline turbo aluminum-alloy four-cylinder engine.  The engine can produce 188 horsepower and 177 pounds-feet of torque and can still get 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

The exterior begs to be noticed with large bulges highlighting the rear and front wheel wells which are filled with 17 inch aluminum alloy wheels.  The front headlights are abnormally long and the fog lights are set back in the front bumper.

The interior is packed with high tech goodies including a navigation system, iPod dock, Bluetooth and remote keyless entry.

"This is an aggressive driver's car," says Larry Dominique, Nissan North America vice president for planning for the Americas. Because of this the product will be pitched squarely at the macho set -- young men who are into sports, women, gaming technology, and nightlife.

The 2011 Nissan Juke will be priced starting at $19,710 and will become available in October. To check out the Juke and other Nissan models, come down to Lokey Nissan on 27758 U.S. Hwy 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33761.
