The Nissan LEAF Gaming System

Gaming is quickly entering all parts of our life and the electric Nissan LEAF is no exception. The car has a 7-inch display screen where driving habits will be transformed into a competitive game. Some may ask if this is necessary, but gaming is helping both businesses and the environment to improve.

Gaming provides a motivational factor for human behaviors and can help contribute to things like environmentally conscious driving habits.

The 7-inch LEAF screen can show the driver how much CO2 they are keeping out of the atmosphere and provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the driver. The program is called Carwing.

The best part of Carwing is that it shows driver achievements and compares them with others which is where the gaming concept comes in. Driver usage can be compared to others and rankings can be assigned based on driving habits. The driver can then earn scores, such as Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

What hasn't been determined is what top performers receive for "winning."  Some have suggested lower insurance rates. If that were the case, the competition for being an environmentally conscious driver would get serious and that benefits us all.

To check out the all new LEAF, come down to Lokey Nissan on 27758 U.S. Hwy 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33761.
